Keri – Web Show Creator & Host

Keri "The Canadian Explorer" - Web Show Host and Creator

This week I want to introduce you to Canada’s biggest fan – Keri, the creator and host of the video podcast The Canadian Explorer. The show’s premise revolves around Keri going on trips to find interesting things that make Canada unique and spread the word about them.

The idea for the show came from daydreaming and “spending a ridiculous amount of time sitting quietly in [her] imagination.” As her two jobs – a college teacher and doing PR for a hockey team – came to an end, she decided to have a go at video and see where it would lead. Two and half years later The Canadian Explorer is going strong with over thirty episodes and plenty of smaller videos in between.

Hosting a show about exploring leads to all sorts of unique experiences. On her adventures Keri has spent a couple nights on a Navy ship, gone ice fishing, explored deep space, learned to drive a race car and much more. What leads to such wanderlust? Keri says that she has always been “the same curious girl” and she’s motivated to fit as much into life as possible. So what’s next for Keri?

Like any good explorer she has no fixed plans and is excited by the possibilities of tomorrow. She welcomes new experiences and holds “say yes to everything” as her mantra.

Keri welcomes any questions or comments you might have, as well as suggestions for things to explore and wants everyone to celebrate Canada. You can follow her on Twitter or contact her directly via email.

What are some of the coolest places you’ve been in Canada? Post them in the comments, as well as any suggestions you might have for the blog.

  • Agreed Keri!

And I've had a few people learn new things about their friends via Atlas so far. Win!
  • Ha! See... we're all learning something new.
  • Hey Karin, just low level business.
  • Thanks, Eugen, I must say I'm looking good :)
  • Go Keri!

What subject were you teaching in college? I never knew you were a teacher in the past :)
